Beam Stabilization in LINACs
Linear accelerators require control of the bunch arrival time, energy and trajectory of particle beams in order to reach demanding performance goals. This requires effective integration of several key instrumentation systems, working together. The digital RF stabilization system (Libera LLRF) performs precise control of amplitude and phase of the accelerating fields. It may be coupled to Libera Sync, a very low-jitter clock distribution system, and Libera Brilliance Single Pass, high-resolution position information, allowing accurate control of trajectories through critical machine sections. This allows very precise control, in real time, of beam diagnostics on LINACs. This solution will be presented at the upcoming events: FEL and LINAC conference, and at the Libera Workshop.
