Hadron Beam Position Processor Tested at RHIC

Hadron Beam Position Processor Tested at RHIC

The new generation beam diagnostics instrumentation for heavy particle accelerators was first tested at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider (RHIC) at the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). Tests performed at RHIC in February proved the Libera Hadron to be an invaluable tool in performing high-resolution measurements in circular hadron machines. You can read the detailed report from the testing at:

Libera Hadron’s basic functionality includes high resolution single-pass measurements, individual-bunch transversal position and charge measurements, and very high resolution turn-by-turn position measurements. The system also supports advanced features, including precise beam arrival time measurements; fast acquisition (typically 10 kHz) position streams on dedicated output for fast feedback purposes, as well as bunch-map and bunch-fill pattern measurements.
