Libera Photon

Photon beam position processor

Libera Photon is a photon beam position processor adapted for current output sensors, including:

blade-based XBPMs
diamond based sensors
ionization chambers

It can be utilized in front ends of storage rings (e.g. for integration in the electron beam fast orbit feedback) as well as in beamlines (e.g. for monitoring, integration in the beamline feedback).

Four current inputs (enabling measurements in 2 planes)
Possibility for disturbances compensation (e.g. ID gap changes)
Internal Bias voltage source
Internal calibration current source
Synchronization (with electron BPM) based on accelerator TbT frequency
Automatic range control

Specifications:

Input current dynamic range: 10 pA to 0.5 mA (four ranges)

ADCs: 24 bit, 100 kHz

Internal Bias voltage source: 0 to -500 V

Libera Photon shares the same interfaces as Libera Brilliance and this enables:

Connection to the control system (control and data acquisition on demand)

Synchronization (with electron BPMs) based on accelerator TbT frequency

Integration in fast global orbit feedback (same data format and data rate)
