New functionalities for Libera Brilliance/Electron with Release 2.00 Release 2.00 with new Libera functionalities is finished and customers will receive it within this week. Subscribing to it, you will benefit of new functionalities which were suggested and proposed by Libera users in the already standard Libera Wish List on the Instrumentation Technologies forum. Beside important system upgrades, you will now be able to easily continuously check the maximum ADC level, calculate the position at single pass measurements and set narrower limits to get a postmortem buffer.
Visit our forum for a description of the new functionalities with concrete measurements: http://www.i-tech.si/forum/.
You can also download the Release Notes from our webpage, where all the functionalities are described more in detail, at: http://www.i-tech.si/support.php?meni1=3.

Standard Libera Brilliance now contains global orbit feedback building blocks In order to get the best out of Libera Brilliance, we are introducing a new product policy, making each of your new Libera units to be ready for building fast global orbit feedback. The Libera Brilliance price now includes a license per unit for the fast orbit feedback interface.
A complete solution will be presented in the next issue of the I-Tech Newsletter, so dont miss reading about it in February.
Find out about the fast global orbit feedback system at NSRRC and ELETTRA. Kuotung Hsu (NSRRC) talks about this in the article Progress of TLS fast orbit feedback system and orbit stability studies, while Marco Lonza (ELETTRA) describes A fast orbit feedback for the Elettra storage ring. You can find both articles at: http://www.i-tech.si/support.php?meni1=4. | |
Examples of configurations for testing with Libera Brilliance Customers at the Libera Workshop expressed their interest in having a document with practical examples of how to perform acquisitions and best configure Libera for doing measurements. We are pleased to advise you that you can download the Application Notes document from: http://www.i-tech.si/support.php?meni1=3. It will help you to begin working with Libera quickly and effectively through the “libera” utility. The document concentrates on optimal Libera settings for different types of acquisition, different types of connection with Libera and on communication with the control system or laboratory environment over CSPI.
We wish you a lot of happiness in 2009!
Until February,
