Demonstration results with Libera LLRF on a multi-cavity RF plant Our R&D team demonstrated the digital RF stabilization system this month at Daresbury laboratory on a test set-up of the EMMA FFAG RF system. Good results were achieved in controlling 10 kW of power to two cavities at 1.3 GHZ. We are very pleased of this step and thank the Daresbury group for the opportunity to demonstrate our system. Being customizable to different LLRF applications, Libera LLRF is suitable for the latest generation light sources, hadron accelerators and linear accelerators. Its powerful features enable RF system monitoring, configuration, diagnostics and control. You will have the chance to discuss about the product in details with our technical engineers from the R&D group at PAC and DIPAC conference. Libera Brilliance successful in the commissioning of PETRA III After successful upgrade of the ESRF storage ring with 224 Libera Brilliance units, we are now pleased to report that 227 Libera Brilliance units have been installed and successfully tested in the PETRA III, Desy’s new synchrotron radiation source. The start of operation concludes the two-year upgrade which converted the storage ring PETRA into a top-class X-ray radiation source. We are pleased that Libera Brilliance helped them achieving the first goal. We congratulate DESY team and wish them success in their further steps! Libera Photon to be launched at PAC Libera Family is proud of a new member – Libera Photon. The photon beam position processor will help to assure the stability of the photon beam delivered to the users. It is suitable for front ends of storage rings as well as for beamlines. It can be easily integrated into fast global orbit feedback, especially together with Libera Brilliance since it has the same communication interfaces. The same concept is used for connection to the control system and for synchronization. First tests of this all-in-one product on a real beam will be performed at Synchrotron SOLEIL in May.
