ESRF Tested Libera Brilliance with the Modified DDC Filters
ESRF is another mayor laboratory around the world using the Libera Brilliance, with superb overall performance (have a look at: http://www.i-tech.si/products.php?meni1=3). One of the latest and important enhancements to its functionality are the modified DDC filters, whose purpose is to remove smearing between adjacent Turn-by-Turn samples.
Kees Scheidt, ESRF, reported on his measurements with the modified DDC filters on Libera Brilliance. He achieved the desired result in single turn mode: one single valid Turn-by-Turn sample and no noticeable smearing. Read his white paper, entitled: Modified (Adjustable) DDC Filters within Libera Brilliance - Experience with Partial Fill Patterns and Pure T-b-T Measurements.
You can find the document at: http://www.i-tech.si/support.php?meni1=7. We thank Kees for letting us use his reports.
Would you like to share your experience using Libera with other field experts? We would be pleased to post your reports at the page written above or at the forum:: http://www.i-tech.si/forum/
Libera Grouping for Fast Global Orbit Feedback
The fast acquisition data stream is essential for fast global orbit feedback building, but it is usually sticky, because it can be subject to data encapsulation overhead. Libera Grouping is the newest building block, which enables even faster communication between Liberas and the exchange of data among Libera Brilliance units without the protocol overhead. The gathered data is sent via Libera Gigabit Ethernet Interface.
NSRRC is our launch customer for Libera Grouping as well as for the Libera Gigabit Ethernet Interface, which we developed together with them and the Elettra experts. Mr. Kuotung Hsu and his group helped us understand the general needs when building the fast feedback. Order the Libera Grouping specifications at: http://www.i-tech.si/support.php?meni1=3.
Are you Coping with Coupled Bunch Instabilities?
We present you the Libera bunch-by-bunch feedback system, which consists of digital processing electronics and the RF front end. The latter builds on operational experience gained with the RFTF2 front end for bunch-by-bunch feedback and it helps you close the whole bunch-by-bunch loop. The core application is accompanied with a Matlab GUI with an additional window for data acquisition.
The number of labs around the globe that are deciding for the Libera Bunch-by-Bunch system is constantly growing. The latest joining the ESRF and Diamond Light Source are the Canadian Light Source, the Australian Synchrotron and ALBA.
