Libera Spectra prototype first testing at Canadian Light Source, Canada and Jožef Stefan Institute, Slovenia
Libera Spectra, a high performance digital pulse processor (DPP), was tested at both institutes with a laboratory X-ray source (Mn).
The tests demonstrate very good peak resolution. The first users also feel that the modular µTCA for physics design and the easy-to-use GUI are a great advantage. The
Libera Spectra instrument is suitable for semiconductor detectors, for both pulse reset and continuous discharge preamplifiers. Good OCR/ICR on high count rates and grouping of up to10 Libera Spectra instruments in one µTCA system enable the most demanding spectroscopy experiments with x-ray or gamma-ray sources.
