Participants will learn about the use of Libera instruments at different accelerators around the world, and obtain practical experience as well as intensive training. The workshop will focus on applications that use the Libera family of instruments – state-of-the-art instrumentation systems used for diagnostics and beam stabilisation at particle accelerators.
Libera Workshop 2014
We are proud to announce the 10th Libera Workshop, which is organized jointly with the oPAC research project, coordinated by the University of Liverpool (UK), and will be held from April 9 to 11, 2014.
The 10th Libera Workshop will run under the slogan ‘The Spring of New Ideas’, which indicates facts from the past that contributed to the first gathering of the experts from the particle accelerators back in 2005; on the other hand, it also indicates the need to generate new ideas and innovations for future benefit.
A little more than a decade ago, Libera was a new-born instrument. As such, the need to share users’ experiences and knowledge about the instrument contributed to the first Libera Workshop. Many ideas have been initiated over the past ten years and many new instruments have been born into the Libera family. This year we will present two newly generated ideas, and also give an opportunity to oPAC fellows and the Libera Challenge winner, who will present their perspectives on the optimization of particle accelerators and the most original measurement using Libera instruments.
