How Does It Work?
Through real time signal processing algorithms, the system automatically detects individual bunches, measures the transversal positions at high resolution, the charge and the arrival time and organizes the measurements in bunch maps in order to give a global representation of the beam dynamics over long periods of time. Both the single bunch and averaged measurements are available for the implementation of low latency feedback systems.
Data Paths
Libera Hadron provides five basic data paths. Acquisition can be done simultaneously on all five data paths (raw ADC data, Single Pass / Single Bunch, Turn by Turn, Fast Acquisition and Slow Acquisition). GbE (optional) Fast Acquisition data is available over SFP using the GbE protocol.
